Peace, tranquility, dark skies, good walks and a choice of top notch eateries await you in a trip to Newton in Bowland, Lancashire. Our cottage has been totally refurbished to look traditional on the outside, but contemporary, modern and comfortable inside.

The house was refurbished in March 2022. The ground floor is sort of open plan, with the spacious lounge and kitchen areas separated by the stairs which run up the centre of the property. Bedrooms 1 and 2 are spacious, bedroom 3 is quite small but large enough for a single fold out bed (2'6" - suitable for smaller people). The garden is large and private and secure for dogs and young children. The house has views front and rear of the stunning countryside. There is also an outside utility space with a 2nd washer and toilet.
We are situated on the edge of the village (Newton in Bowland), adjacent to the car park. There is private parking on the car park, directly at the front of the property and a gated drive way for 3 cars - so parking is never an issue. The centre of the village (Parkers Arms) is four minutes walk, as is the river. The Inn at Whitewell is less than 10 minutes in the car, and Clitheroe is less than 15 minutes away by car.
If internet access is important to you the house is served by 'Broadband 4 the Rural North' (the worlds fastest rural broadband). Our wired connection (situated in Bedroom 3) routinely achieves 1000mbps with our Wi-fi typically around 3- 400mbps.
Electric vehicles. There is an outside 13amp supply that you can use, but please discuss payment on arrival. We have a EV charging point at our home just across the road, which you can use (by arrangement).
